Day 1 Insanity MA:X30 Cardio Challenge Workout

I have officially completed 60 days of Core De Force and it is time to pick a new program. I am torn between Insanity MAX:30 and T25. I LOVE Shaun T and the original Insanity program was my soulmate workout. The very first workout I ever started with Beachbody. The one that helped me lose 25 pounds and landed me in the Insanity informational with Shaun T himself.

I am leaning towards T25. I feel it is slightly shorter and less challenging then MAX:30. However, I never fully completed the Insanity MAX:30 program. I always get to month 2 and quit. Since I am torn, I decided to flip a coin. Heads for T25 and tails for MA:X30. Obviously God & The Universe wanted me to complete what I think is the more challenging program. I am up for the challenge after pushing myself with Core De Force!

I am going to be honest and let you know up front that I will be modifying some of the workouts. Modifying doesn’t make the Insanity MAX:30 workouts easier. They are still just as challenging with lower impact moves. It doesn’t mean you are a failure or aren’t good enough if you modify. I am in great shape but this program is TOUGH. I remember trying not to modify and I think that is one of the reasons I always quit in the past. It was too hard and I dreaded the workouts. This time, I am going to listen to my body, modify when needed and complete this 60 day program!

My week 1 Insanity MAX:30 schedule is as follows:

Monday: Insanity MAX:30 Cardio Challenge
Tuesday: Insanity MAX:30 Tabata Power
Wednesday: Insanity MAX:30 Sweat Intervals
Thursday: Insanity MAX:30 Tabata Power
Friday: Insanity MAX:30 Friday Fight
Saturday: Rest or Insanity MAX:30 Pulse
Sunday: Rest

I am looking forward to having an extra day of rest each week. Core De Force is 6 days a week and sometimes the workouts are 45 minutes with 15 minutes of abs. I loved the program but that meant some days I was working out for an hour. With Insanity MAX:30, I will workout for a MAX of 30 minutes per day. From what I remember it will be more challenging for my cardiovascular endurance. That is why the workouts are shorter.

I rocked today’s Insanity MAX:30 Cardio Challenge. I modified when needed and was able to max out at 30 minutes. It is the first week so I am pushing myself but not to the point of getting injured. I am staying safe and being challenged.

Day 1 Review Insanity MAX:30 Eating Plan

The Insanity MAX30 eating plan is similar to the 21 Day Fix Meal Plan. You determine how which plan to follow based on your weight. If you are under 150 pounds then you follow plan A. If you are over 150 pounds then you follow plan B. It is as simple as that. Since I am under 150 pounds, I will follow plan A. However, I am not often the best at following meal plans so I will keep you updated on my progress with this as I move through the program! 🙂
