How do I stay motivated with the 21 Day Fix and 21 Day Fix Extreme?

We are officially kicking off week THREE of our online health and fitness accountability group for the 21 Day Fix and 21 Day Fix EXTREME. I noticed the are several people in our group still going strong and there are others that are starting to go quiet and disappear. In my experience as a coach, when someone is disappearing from the group it usually means they have fallen off the wagon and are embarrassed to engage in the group. I am highly encourage you NOT to do this.

The more you engage in the group the more supported you will feel. Our accountability group is NOT a place for people to judge or put one another down. It is not a place for us to compare ourselves to one another and put ourselves down for not keeping up with someone else’s weight loss or muscle gain. It is a SAFE place for everyone to share what they are going through as they work their way through their transformation.  It is place for us to share successes as well as struggles and motivate and encourage one another. It is a place to lift one another up and not tear one another down.

Many people have asked me “How do I stay motivated with the 21 Day Fix and 21 Day Fix Extreme?” My answer is first, I create a plan. For me it is to workout in the morning and plan out my meals for the day, eating every 2 to 3 hours. If I don’t work out in the morning I tend to skip it altogether. Lately I have been working out FIRST thing in the morning before I do anything. It sets me up with something positive first thing in the morning and gets my adrenal pumping. This gives me sustainable energy throughout the day. I read a quote this morning that I thought summed it up for me…

Start your day out with something positive. When you get up in the morning, take a few minutes to motivate yourself. Maybe read an uplifting quote, look at some inspirational images from your favorite FB or IG account, jot down a few simple goals you want to accomplish that day, do some light stretching, meditate, say some positive affirmations, pray…I think you get the point?!

Do ONE thing that will support you in shifting to a positive mindset and setting your day up for success. Remember it is not just about the physical transformation. It is also about the MENTAL transformation. I call it a mindset makeover!

I also like to post my move of the day in our accountability group and challenge the group to do the move. It keeps others engaged and motivates them to post their videos in the group as well!
